Melanie G - Word Up

Melanie Brown also released "Word Up" as her second single. Under Warner Bros Records, the R&B, funk and hip-hop mixed genres was released as CD single and 12" single on 28 June 1999. At that time, Melanie Brown was known as Melanie G or Melanie Gulzar and she made "Word Up" reached at #14 on U.K. Singles Chart.

Timbaland is the producer of "Word Up" and also released as the soundtrack for "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me". "Word Up" sold about 77,996 copies in the United Kingdom, which was the lowest selling solo Spice Girls-related single of the 1990s.



Gun - Word Up!

Scottish rock band, Gun covered "Word Up!" as their single for their album "Swagger". It was released as CD single and 12" single by A&M Records on 1 July 1994. Hard rock, heavy metal and glam metal are the mixed genres for this song and reached #8 on U.K. Singles Chart.

"Word Up!" originally was released by American funk group, Cameo on 1986 and was written by Larry Blackmon and Tomi Jenkins.

Melanie B - I Want You Back (Featuring Missy Elliott)

Scary Spice released solo single for her debut as solo artist. A collaboration with American rapper, Missy Elliott, this R&B and hip-hop song was released as CD single by Virgin Records on 14 September 1998 at U.K. and scored top of the chart on U.K. Singles Chart, that made Melanie Brown as the first Spice Girls to have #1 single on U.K. 

Melanie B recalled, "This was the first time I'd even considered doing anything by myself. I was on tour with the Spice Girls when Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott called me up and said 'Melanie, I've got a song for you, will you come and record it with me?' I checked it with the girls and within a month I was out there, I recorded it in a day, did the video, then came back. She's a genius!", later the track available on Melanie Brown's debut studio album "Hot" which was released on 2000.

Robbie Williams - Freedom

"Freedom" is the debut single by English singer, Robbie Williams. This song was released as single for the first time by George Michael around 1990 while Robbie Williams cover was released as CD single and cassette single by Chrysalis Records on 12 August 1996.

This dance rock song reached #2 on U.K. Singles Chart and not available on Robbie Williams studio album.

Spice Girls - Wannabe

British pop girlgroup, Spice Girls released their debut single "Wannabe" on 8 July 1996 at United Kingdom under Virgin Records. There were available as CD single, cassette single and 12" single. This dance pop song was written by Spice Girls with Matt Rowe and Richard Stannard. This song also available as track on their debut studio album "Spice".

It reached #1 on U.K. Singles Chart and U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Official music video also reached #1 on MTV Asia Hit List. 

All Saints - I Know Where It's At

"I Know Where It's At" is the debut single by English-Canadian girlgroup, All Saints. It was released as CD single and cassette single at U.K. on 18 August 1997. 

This R&B song was released in 1997 and became their first Top 10 hit, peaking at #4 on U.K. Singles Chart. A total of 158,769 copies have been sold. The single was released in the U.S. after All Saints scored their first number one hit with "Never Ever". The track was originally released in Australia to coincide with the U.K. release, where it peaked at #67. After the second single "Never Ever" reached #1, the track was re-released where it peaked at #12.
